This is our cupcake orphanage. Many people know I love cupcakes and so over Halloween weekend we had many arrive. The warty looking ones and the one that says "Boo" I made (the other decorated ones were snagged after our party). The apple cinnamin ones were made by my friend Ashlyn. The ones with the pretty orange frosting were made by the Croskreys and dropped off by our home teacher and his wife. The zombie ones were made by my good friend Melanie. They come complete with a marzipan brain inside! Brilliant, no?
We love our little cupcakes, but we cannot eat them all *sigh*
If you would like to rescue a cupcake, please stop by and ask about our Adopt-A-Cupcake program.
In other news, Scott's mom, Janet
made us this AMAZING quilt for Halloween. We get compliments on it every time someone comes over, but alas I cannot claim credit. The credit all goes to Janet, the quilting extraordinaire.
Also, I am looking for someone who can crochet well, preferably someone in Wisconsin who can teach me. I can offer cupcakes.
Hi Dear Ones!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you enjoyed a very successful Halloween! GP and I ducked out on our usual 200+ trick or treaters (no kidding, we get that many and more!) and went to Ron's ranch for the weekend. We had a very relaxing time, just GP, Ron and me. Ron is building a wonderful barn; a huge area for storage and a complete home living area, on the top floor of the barn.GP and I house our little travel trailer on the property, so we are always very comfortable in our own place. Sarah, I will never in my wildest dreams, be able to be as creative as your wonderful mother-in-law is, but I can crochet. I do wish we lived closer, because I would love to teach you. Once you get the hang of it, crochet is something you can do with your eyes closed. GP and I would love to take some of your cupcakes off or your hands! They really look yummy! Have a great week!! We hope you and Scott will always remember how very much we love the two of you. Continue to walk in faith and love and let your individual lights shine forth.
Hugs and Happy Thoughts,
Jenna
