An update on our lives for the last week:
NOT PICTURED-- My Dad moved to Chicago! Gah! We are so, so excited and I've caught Jane several times running around our house yelling "GWAPA! GWAPA!" She is in love. Yet somehow I have managed to capture exactly 0 photos of him. I will fix this soon (when he gets back from his road trip).
In other news:
I continue to grow exceedingly large. Peanut has stopped growing out and is just growing up (in my ribs, woohoo) and down now. Maternity pants/skirts/capris no longer fit because I carry so low and even wearing my lowest things I am constantly pushing the tops down because of pressure. Yes. I carry LOW. We are getting anxious to meet her. I am hoping for a natural birth, so I would love input and stories from any natural birth mama's out there!

Jane has been quite the little baker lately. She has helped me make brownies (from scratch) and banana bread in the last few days. She adores helping so we finally bought her her very own apron. She also is big on the color yellow (the only color she can correctly label) so she was thrilled when her grandma sent a care package that had a yellow spatula in it.

If you ever wondered what Jane would look like with
We all know the batter is really the only reason we make brownies.

Oh! We also made cupcakes. Jane took great pride in cupcake holder placement. She did it all on her own! (well I separated the wrappers but she put them in the pans on her own)

Cue Jane's excited face:

Jane is still obsessed with all things Daddy. This has been going on since the womb and is still going strong.

melt my heart.

Meanwhile I bribe her with food. Last week she very sweetly asked for chocolate cake for breakfast. At first I thought she was nuts but then I realized that she hangs out with a pregnant lady all day and probably thinks chocolate first thing in the morning is totally normal. In fact, I agreed that it was a fabulous idea and we ate cake. For breakfast. Don't tell Scott.

Jane was very sad the other day because she couldn't hold all of her babies at once. Naturally I asked if she wanted a "moby". She lit up and immediately said yes. After wrapping her up in her muslin blanket she grabbed her dog and put him right on her shoulder and tried to slide him into the moby... Can you tell she's watched it a few times? haha. Especially since I haven't been able to moby really for a while, but I've been helping out some neighbors so she has seen it modeled quite a bit.

She thought I was a total genius and hauled her dog around for quite a while after that.

What a cutie.

I turned on music the other day and a dance party ensued. All of my pictures are blurry because she was so busy dancing, but they made me happy anyway.

Again with the I-bribe-my-child-for-her-love... I caught her licking our peanut butter straight out of the container and since it was almost gone I didn't bother to stop her.

She was thrilled.

I didn't take into account, however, just how messy it would get. She did really well with her clothes but then when I went to wet a paper towel to wipe her hands she stroked her hair. Yeah... it was completely matted with peanut butter and we decided a bath was in order ;)

We've already talked birth stuff, but if you want a more detailed account, I did blog about it at the time. Just go to our bog archive, it's under February 2011 and you'll get the whole shebang! :) you're looking fabulous by the way!
