So a few months ago my right wrist started hurting. Like really bad.
Anyhow... I put off going to the doctor because I knew I would have to establish care and I'm lazy.
So I put up with this terrible pain for months.
I finally cave and go to the doctor (because I had about a gazillion other things to get checked by then— you know how it is).
My doctor (who is amazing, by the way) tells me I have De Quervain's Syndrome. She said as soon as she saw that I was coming in for wrist pain she laughed and knew I had it... my physical showed she was correct.
Apparently it's really common in new mom's because you are lifting your baby over and over. Who knew? Also why had I never heard of this before? I live in NewMomville (well... that's probably Provo, but our ward has lots as well).
Well apparently I need to go get a steroid shot to relieve the pain for a couple of months. Hopefully this will buy me enough time for Jane to learn to walk and I won't be picking her up all day long.
So I called the Hand Clinic that is supposed to be giving me this magic shot and they tell me they have no openings for TWO MONTHS. yeah... awesome. Remember how I have this incredible pain in my wrist that wakes me up at night? yeah. just checking.
So if anyone out there has connections with the Tosa Hand Clinic... please pull some strings and get me an appointment. there are baked goods in it for you. and I make REALLY good baked goods.
In other news... Janie is still adorable.
Sarah you and Jane are so pretty. I like your haircut lots. Also I'm sorry about your wrist.
