Leap Day!

Jane spent her evening doing this:
Which wouldn't be a shock, except that we were at this:
Where it was CRAZY noisy. Not only from fans and music, but you might have noticed that we are in the third row, so we also were hearing the puck and various players SLAM against our wall regularly. Our dear sweet Jane. She can't nap at home when it's quiet, but take her to an Admirals game...

What we do on the weekends

We went to Organ Piper Pizza where we ate delicious pizza and listened to really loud organ music with flashing lights. It looked something like this:

And then we:

went with these lovely people:

The Duncans

and the Hansens
to a Hockey Game! (Milwaukee Admirals)

This was the closest thing we saw to a fight.

Where they did crazy things like this:
This is a human slingshot. They put people inside of it and then fling them across the ice.

This is at the other end of the ice. The person who got a strike won.
And we risked our life for it all. This was directly in front of our seats (5th row). You will note that the glass stops just to the left of us. You will also note all of the marks from when the puck has hit the glass VERY close to the edge. I stayed awake just to make sure my face was in tact when I left. (Insert John Hewitt HERE: "A tire came and hit Mary in the FACE!")

We also like little things. This is Rascal, the tiny version of the Milwaukee Admiral's mascot.
And tiny goalies. No, this kid is not in the NHL, but between two of the periods they brought out a kids hockey team and the goalie was so small that he didn't have to duck to get into the net. We did not witness him save a single puck that night, but can you blame him? I don't think he could have blocked one if he had laid down completely sideways he is so small.
