Three Year Date-iversary!

Our little bundle of joy. Blowing pouty raspberries because her mama is doing laundry and her dad is studying. yup. we know how to party!

but really, Scott has a Choose-Your-Own Adventure date planned that the blizzard outside is threatening to destroy... boo!

Curls!

Both of my sisters have gorgeous natural curls. This is something I have seriously envied (I somehow managed a stick-straight recessive gene).

Scott, however, also has curly hair! (a well kept secret for those of you who have only seen him buzzed).

Lucky little Jane, it seems, has also got some of that gene. It is slowly getting curlier each day! Check out her post-bath hair from last night.

Infant beauty pageant circuit? I'm thinking so. I'm going to call it "Infants eating Tiaras".

Silverware...

Bad News: We are completely out of silverware.
Good News: We ate lava cakes for dinner.

Proof I'm not a slacker anymore...

Admit it. you're impressed. I would like to see you cram every piece of silverware you own into four dishwasher compartments.

Apparently baking with mama did NOT live up to the hype.

Grasping

Jane can now grasp objects. She then waves all of her limbs around. You'll notice how seriously she takes it. Flailing is not for the weak.


I have been asked about the color of her eyes many times. Here is your answer:
blue. very much blue. No idea how she pulled that one.

Miss Independent

Jane has been on a bit of an independent streak lately. She has started grabbing at her bottle [for those of you who don't know: Jane is bottle fed].

She actually is quite good at holding her bottle.

This morning during her first feeding she was still pretty sleepy so I was using a burp cloth to help hold the bottle up (don't worry, she is in my lap so she CANNOT choke, my arm just gets super tired).

Anyhow.... Little miss independent mid-bottle was awake enough to realize that it was the burp cloth and not her holding her bottle. She promptly smacked the cloth away and held her bottle up herself.

because little miss Jane is all grown up now.
