Leaving for the hospital— very excited to finally meet our little girl.
After three weeks of getting to hang out while waiting for this baby spooky things like this were beginning to happen... note the matching sweaters, similar scarves, and same boots. Yeah, we get along :)
All hooked up.
Here we will insert 14 hours of labor without pain meds that led to 8 hours of labor with an epidural. Yeah... next time I'm going straight for the epidural. Anyhow... as nasty as labor was it led to this beautiful girl.
Our little baby Jane born on Halloween night at 6:44 PM.
Weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz and 18.5", Jane came flying into this world (quite literally, I pushed for about 5 minutes and when my doctor turned to tell Scott to put on his gloves (he was going to deliver) Janie shot right out and the OB resident dove in and caught her. Good thing we were having a bed delivery, I think if I had been in stirrups (sp?) she would have slipped right out.

Jane wasn't thrilled about not having gazillions of nurses and doctors to dote on her.
Dad was determined to get everything from the car to the apartment in one load. I was impressed.
We sure love our little girl.

She is honestly one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen... and I have seen a lots of beautiful babies. :)

ReplyDeleteCongrats Sarah! She is BEAUTIFUL and you look Great! I am glad it was a good smooth labor for you and you only needed to push for 5 min, its a blessing. (i pushed for 3.5 hr and Hobson still wouldn't come out...) Can't wait to meet the little princess!
