New Skills, New Adventures

Janie is a good kid. We like her a lot. But the other day I had a lot I needed to do and Janie was a total champ all day long. So I bought her a treat.
I know you're not supposed to be able to buy someone's love... but I think that might not apply to Janie.
Give the girl an orange and you are friends forever. Scott called while Janie was devouring her orange and accused me of cheating in the favorite parent contest. Because I fed our child an orange. It's cool. I won.
Janie spends a scary amount of time trying to figure out our cupboard doors.
Well the other day... it paid off. She can now successfully open almost any cupboard/door in the house. Of course she has no interest in the pots, pans, or non-breakable things, she only has eyes for the glass.
Janie also is on a big climbing kick. One minute she was on my lap, the next she had scaled our kitchen table (from my lap) and was helping herself to a treat.

She seemed totally comfortable up on our high table like she hung out there all the time (I promise she does not).

Because of this recent interest in climbing I thought Janie would have such a good time at a playground. I failed to remember, however, that a playground is designated for children, and Janie does not like things that she is allowed to play with. She pretty much just sat down and watched the kids. She did, however, have fun playing with her buddy, Sadie.
