Little Chocoholic (Weekly Goodies)

Jane LOVES this bike we snagged from the basement (courtesy of the Pugh's)

Jane LOVES chocolate. She can smell chocolate anywhere in our house. Chocolate I NEVER KNEW EXISTED she finds.

While I was making chocolate cake I accidentally spilled batter on the floor. I was rushing to get the cakes baking and figured I would clean it up later. A minute later I find Jane in my kitchen licking it off the floor. Like I said, the girl can smell chocolate from anywhere in our house.

Jane ADORES our sweet neighbor, Elise. They play almost every day and are adorable together. Anytime they aren't playing Jane is trying to escape out our front door asking for "Eees?" (She started with "Eee" then "..sss" now "Eees").

We read a lot of books these days.

Jane was freezing after her bath and thought she was so funny when she stole my bathrobe.

Even if it was hard to walk in.

I made Chocolate Magic Cake for my birthday. It was amazing. It was also 50/50 cake/frosting. Looking back it was probably excessive and I will cut down on frosting next time, but the frosting is INCREDIBLE.

Jane is getting quite skilled at dressing herself.
Clearly.

Jane decided to throw a fit the other day and quickly was distracted by playing peek a boo with her changing pad. She is the most entertaining fit-thrower ever.

Life is good.

Well... migraines are bad. But wiggly little sister and happy big sister make up for the migraines. Also TV is our friend. Summer, please come soon.

PS. My birthday was amazing. Scott made me breakfast, Jane slept, I was able to shower, Emily C dropped off a fun little package of my favorite things (awkward photos, cookie dough, and sour gummy worms), I enjoyed lunch with Jenn and Janey (which was amazing), Jane played with Elise, and the Pugh's took Jane so Scott and I could go on a hot date (which ended up being errands and pizza, but it was perfect anyway). After Jane went down I finished my delicious chocolate cake and we had some friends over to help us eat it. It was perfect. Thank you to all who made my day special!

  1. Can you share the recipe for your cake with me through email (sunni.swain@gmail.com)? My birthday is next month and this looks decadent. I would LOVE to make it. :)
