So far we've visited the library almost every day this week...

Jane loves that the chairs are just her size (we have an awesome children's section).
Playing with Daddy's gloves is still a favorite past time.

Jane has begun having interest in dressing herself. But only in jackets, hats, and shoes because these are all wonderful items that in her mind signal we are leaving the house.

Since it is above freezing Jane is back to her nudist ways. She has never loved clothes and starting again this week I frequently find her running around without pants and/or a shirt.

This attitude look cracks me up.

We are very into books these days. Especially Eric Carle books. We have two buried in our bookshelf and this week Jane has located both of them and carries them all over the house. When she finds me she plops down next to me and flips through the pictures, ooh-ing and aah-ing over each. It's adorable. Another Eric Carle book is definitely on her Easter basket list. I'm looking at either "Pancakes, Pancakes", "Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me", or "From Head to Toe". Any recommendations?

We love cereal and our new carseat.

We really, really like our new car seat. (and feeding her Kings Hawaiian Rolls addiction).

PS. For family wondering about a pregnancy update:
Peanut really likes sugar. Coke and chocolate are favorites and cause an instant party in my womb.
I have been feeling SO much better. Other than migraines every few days (a serious improvement over constant) and sciatica, I've been feeling awesome. My belly is small enough that I can move easily and carry Jane but big enough that I look pregnant and can feel Peanut wiggling. It's perfect.
I am 19 Weeks on Sunday.
Tomorrow we are hoping to go swimming so I will try and have Scott take a belly picture for you then.
We find out gender next Thursday! Only 6 more days. Surprisingly, I'm not anxious at all. I'm excited, but not dying to know like last time.
I love reading your blog. Jane is so cute! And so smart. I'm not familiar with the other 2 Eric Carle books that you mentioned but I do know that my class LOVES from Head to Toe. Like they LOOOOVE it. We have read it so many times that the spine fell apart and all the pages have fallen out. It's completely unreadable. Jane is the same age so I bet she'll love that one. Can't wait to find out what you're having! And again, I love your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like little Janie inherited the signature Damstra belly. Love it! And can I say that I feel spoiled that we have been getting so many updates lately. Happy day! We will have to make all sorts of sweets when you come visit.
