I sent Scott to the store for a couple of things and he came home with these gorgeous daffodils! He knows this year is hard on me because I miss Skagit Valley and our gorgeous tulips so it made my day when he brought me flowers.

Jane is really into putting on headbands lately. Her favorites are Minnie Mouse Ears and a headband that makes her look like a flower. Both crack me up.

Scott got home from work early on Friday so he took us out to the zoo!

Jane ran over to this gorilla and immediately began kissing it. She LOVES animals.

Jane is far more hardcore than she lets on.

Stomping on the snow pile. In March. Enjoy the view of the FROZEN lake behind her. Winter is getting old fast.

We actually did a good job of celebrating a holiday! This is pretty big news considering Scott and I regularly forget our own anniversary. I was not, however, awesome at documenting our events, so you will have to forgive me.
Jane went Easter egg hunting with our neighbors. We did a practice run that morning that actually she did awesome at. But after already picking up eggs in our living room she just seemed irritated that she was having to clean up eggs again outside.

She did pick up three on her own. We let the other neighbors have the rest of hers because she just wasn't interested.

She really just wanted to ride this bike.

Here is Jane in her Easter dress. She wouldn't stop dancing for a picture, it was adorable.

I actually went all out and made ham, mashed potatoes, rolls, cream corn, and chocolate cake for Sunday Easter. We even invited friends over :) But naturally I only remembered to document the chocolate portion of the meal.

Jane spent a lot of Easter weekend snuggling with her Daddy.

and throwing random fits.

We also did Easter baskets, but I forgot to take pictures. Jane got a baby doll, bubbles, two books, a water bottle shaped like a tiger, sunglasses, and a bag of m&ms. Scott got pens, reeses pieces, a tooth brush, tic tacs, crunchy peanut butter, and a hand exercise thing (I'm sure there is a word for it, I just don't know it). I got a new wallet, sunglasses, and dove dark chocolate.
Liebster Questions
So a while back a good friend of mine nominated me for a Liebster award. I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to answer your questions, but I do think it's a fun idea, so here are my answers to her questions. Forgive the weird formatting. I have no idea why it wouldn't cooperate.
1) In the film adaptation of your life, which actor or actress would you want to be you?
Emma Stone. Because ever since I saw this scene I've decided she is basically me in all my awkward, unsexy glory.
2) How many scars do you have and what are their stories?
I have a scar on my face from slipping on a mcdonalds floor when I was 5. Keepin' it classy.
I also have a scar on my hand from when I cooked my first turkey. Clearly I'm very coordinated.
3) Aside from childbirth (if applicable), what’s the worst pain you’ve ever been in?
Does recovery from childbirth count? Because that was especially brutal.
4) What’s your life motto?
I'm going to have to take from Penzey's here... "Love people. Cook them tasty food."
5) Which Napoleon Dynamite character are you according to this arbitrary quiz from TeenNick.com?
Pedro. I did not see that coming...
6) What’s the last thing you ate?
A bite of banana. It was intended to be a whole banana but after scouting me out for weakness it was quickly toddler-snatched.
7) If your music selection for the rest of forever was limited to the discography of one artist/group, who would you pick?
This probably changes daily. Today I'm going to go with the Rocket Summer.
8) What’s the best thing you’ve pinned on Pinterest?
I don't pin. I'm so sorry.
9) How many pecks of pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick?
7.
10) What’s your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving. I'm pretty big on food.
