Honeymoon

Scott's parents sent us to Oahu. We stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki right on the beach. Because we were the customers of the day we were upgraded to a beach-side room. It was gorgeous! We had a great balcony that looked right out to Diamond Head.

Every day we would walk down to a market and buy cheetos and dr. pepper-- life's staple foods.

Scott has a pair of skull pants I have always envied. He won't let me wear them, but because I try to steal them so regularly, he bought me my own pair for Christmas. I don't mind, because now it's like I have two pairs!

At the Polynesian Cultural Center there was a statue. The man before me told his son to go pose "by the fat statue". Silly man. This statue is obviously pregnant. Here is my wishful thinking prego belly. It's probably not hospitable for a small child. I need to eat more donuts before that point.

Scott felt the need to volunteer me for a demonstration. You can tell by my face that I DID NOT appreciate it. I do not like volunteering for demonstrations, Scott however, found it hilarious.

For one of the shows we went an hour early because we noticed that it had begun raining and we wanted a nice dry seat. However, after sitting for an hour, in the rain, a bunch of old ladies asked us if we could scoot over. We tried not to be bitter. If we weren't on our honeymoon... we might have put some ice cream in their pretty white hair. Luckily for them, we were too giddy about being married to care.

I wanted him for Christmas and because I was very very good this year I got him.

Every day on the way home we walked passed the Cheesecake Factory. We couldn't help ourselves. Correction: I couldn't help MYSELF. And Scott couldn't resist helping me out in my cheesecake hoarding endeavor.

We couldn't resist.

I had this song stuck in my head the entire week. It was ridiculous. I can sing it on command. ask me.

We were obviously on the wrong tour bus. Santa drove this one.

We went to Pearl Harbor...

And Scott played with the guns.

This was our view looking down from the balcony. It was perfect, we were close enough to enjoy the nightly fire dancers, but we were far enough up that the noise didn't keep us awake at night. (because contrarily to popular belief, we did sleep. some.)

Our gorgeous sunrise over Diamond Head!

Yup. he's a keeper. He said we can go back some day and engorge ourselves on cheesecake and play on the beach all day. I can't wait! (only nine years, seven months to go!)
